Back Up Washers are used in conjunction with 'O' Rings for both static and dynamic sealing applications. Whenever possible two Back Up Washers should be used, one on each side of the 'O' Ring.
  • Use back up washers when the hole size or the grip range is out of suggested specification
  • Also serves as an excellent bearing surface in thin sheet metal or plastics
